On 15.4 and 29.4 we are arranging a trip to Gaustatoppen. The trip is for those who want to learn more about summit hiking. For those who want, we will also walk (on foot) to the summit of Gaustatoppen.

No prior knowledge is required for this trip, we will teach you along the way. If you don't have equipment, it can be rented at Gaustablikk.

On the way up we will teach you some skiing technique in steep terrain and some basic avalanche knowledge. If desired, we will also teach you skiing technique downhill.

If you just want to join the trip up, it is possible to take the path back down.

We walk at a leisurely pace uphill, expecting to take about 3 hours. Down we follow the marked trail.

To enjoy the trip, you should be in generally good physical shape and be able to master black slopes in a ski resort.
