GAUSTA SUMMIT TOUR

On Wednesday 31.3 and Thursday 1.4 we are organizing an Easter trip to Gaustatoppen. Start and finish will be at Sportellet (meeting time is 09:30). We will start by taking the Fyriegg lift up before walking all the way to Gaustatoppen. Down we will ski all the way back to Sportellet. Great trip in spectacular terrain. On the way up there will be training in what avalanche terrain is and how to move in such terrain. We will also have a short review of buddy rescue. This will be a great trip where you will also gain a lot of useful lessons.

APPROX. TIME USED: 5-6 hours

PRICE: 1500,- per person (min. 5 people) Any lifts are additional.

WHO IS THIS TRIP SUITABLE FOR: You should be in normal good shape. We will climb about 750 m. We will not go fast.

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED: We recommend cross-country skis and boots (this can be rented at Sportellet). Avalanche equipment (transmitter/receiver-search rod-shovel) is good to have with you as we will practice using it. It is not necessary to complete the trip (we will not be walking in avalanche terrain). Can also complete the trip on mountain skis (must have steel edges and traps)

The trip will be completely in line with the current Corona measures. We will keep a good distance and will be outdoors the whole time. For those who wish and feel they can, it is possible to visit the tourist cabin at the top. There is simple catering.
